Bruce A. Brown is a Senior Geologist with the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey. He has a B.S. degree in geology from the University of Illinois, M.S. from the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba (Canada), and is a licensed Professional Geologist in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota. .Over the past 28 years he has worked on a variety of projects relating to the bedrock geology, mineral, and water resources of Wisconsin. .He is a co-author of the Bedrock Geologic Map of Wisconsin as well as author and contributor on over 100 papers, maps, and technical reports. He is a member of the State Agency Resource Working Group, the DNR Nonmetallic Mining advisory Committee, DOT Aggregate Research Oversight Committee, and numerous professional organizations. His current professional interests include the mineral and water resources of Wisconsin, and the application of geology to engineering and environmental problems and in land-use planning.
