A generous family foundation has stepped forward with an offer to match all donations to the Minnesota Ground Water Association Foundation received through the end of 2025—up to $10,000!
That means every gift you make now goes twice as far to support groundwater scholarships, research, and education across Minnesota.

The Minnesota Ground Water Association Foundation assists MGWA in its mission to educate the public about groundwater resources and inspire the next generation of professionals who will protect and manage them. Through scholarships, awards, and educational grants, the Foundation invests directly in the future of groundwater science.
- The Gabanski Student Scholarship, named in honor of Gill Gabanski—co-founder and former MGWA president—celebrates his tireless commitment to groundwater education.
- The Pfannkuch-Alexander Hydrogeology Field Camp Award, named for University of Minnesota professors Hans Olaf Pfannkuch and Calvin Alexander, supports students gaining hands-on field experience.
- MGWA Foundation also provides grants for educational programs such as Children’s Water Festivals, classroom materials, and community outreach that bring groundwater science to life.
Each year, we receive far more outstanding applications than we can fund. With your help—and this rare matching opportunity—we can change that!
Together, we can do this. Every gift matters. Every dollar is doubled. Every drop counts.
