Happy Winter Season MGWA Members. My name is Elizabeth Kluesner and I am honored to be your first Executive Director. I started this position in mid-October and had the privilege of jumping right into the Fall Conference planning and execution. I enjoyed meeting so many members at the Fall Conference and hearing the inspiring research being conducted by our members throughout Minnesota.
Over the years my career in natural resources has had a focus on groundwater protection and the importance of this unique resource, particularly in the upper Midwest region. I am excited to grow this organization and share your research with a wide audience of colleagues throughout the state.
As 2025 winds down, we are excited to begin the planning for the MGWA Spring Conference and to welcome a new President, Jared Trost. Jared and I, along with the Board, are focused on including young professionals and students in the Spring Conference. I look forward to working with our academic partners to introduce a new generation of groundwater professionals to MGWA.
