In Memoriam: Fletcher Driscoll

Fletcher Driscoll, Jr., a renowned hydrogeologist from Minnesota, passed away on March 8, 2023. Fletcher was a Professional Geologist and is known for authoring Groundwater and Wells textbook, select sections available online at https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML1423/ML14237A631.pdf. He was a Minnesota kid that did big things in and for the hydrogeology profession.

Fletcher earned a B.A. in Geology from Carleton College, Northfield, MN and a Ph.D. in hydrogeology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. He specialized in water supply, design and construction of water supply and monitoring wells and the occurrence, fate and transport of contaminants in groundwater.
