The Minnesota Ground Water Association Foundation (MGWAF) is seeking new board members!
The MGWAF was formed by the Minnesota Ground Water Association (MGWA) to assist the MGWA in its mission to educate the general public regarding ground water resources. The MGWAF administers the funds set aside by the MGWA Board for education activities as well as generating additional funds and exploring funding opportunities. The MGWAF provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students and awards to students attending Hydrogeology Field Camps. Funds have also been used to provide assistance for educational projects such as Children’s Water Festivals and other events held by Watershed Districts. Over $68,000 has been given by the MGWAF since 2019!
Serving on the MGWAF board is a great opportunity to make a positive impact in the ground water community and to support the MGWA’s mission. The board meets quarterly in-person and/or virtually (a virtual option is always available). If you have questions on the MGWAF or are interested in getting involved, please contact us at foundation@mgwa.org.
