Happy Fall, MGWA Members! My personal favorite season is here and I hope you’re getting to enjoy all the fall fun. I only wish we could extend this time of year as there’s too much to enjoy outdoors and not enough weekends!
With the fall color changes, we’re very excited to bring you many great changes within the MGWA itself. At the Board, we’re expanding our positions, fulfilling initiatives and have several exciting announcements to make at November’s Fall Meeting. One major element we want to bring back in the coming year is the MGWA Awards in the Fall Meeting. We believe in the amazing work our members bring to Minnesotans and we want to honor that hard work. If you’d like to get involved with the awards initiative, please reach out to us at the Board for simple ways you can help. We’d love to have your input as the effort identifies a method, categories, nomination process, candidate review and awards presentation. Jump in if you’d like to be a part of something wonderful!
We hope you’re planning to submit an abstract for consideration for the Fall Meeting and remember, if your abstract isn’t selected, we are always happy to consider it at a future event. Your ideas for future topics are always welcome, too!
The Fall Social is coming up soon and we’ve had such a great turnout at these events lately, we hope to see your smiling faces at the next one. It’s a great place to network, keep up with what we’re working on as an Association, and get to know new folks in this unique sector. Join us for a beverage and stay for the comradery!
