Sandeep Burman was recently named as the next Director for the Division of Environmental Assessments and Outcomes at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). Burman has been State Drinking Water administrator at the Minnesota Department of Health since 2018, where he headed up the agency’s oversight of all 7,000 public water systems in the state.
This announcement marks a return to the MPCA for Burman, who began his career more than 25 years ago as a regional hydrologist in the Rochester office, eventually serving as manager of the Superfund and Brownfield section in the Remediation Division.
Burman succeeds Todd Biewen as EAO Division Director, who retired in February.
