Happy Summer (Niibin), Members! It’s been a tremendous quarter for the organization. We’re still riding the highs of the Spring Conference, where we were thrilled to pack the house again and enjoy a wide variety of speakers, comradery and thought-provoking ideas around Minnesota’s groundwater resources. We hope you loved the Arboretum and are thinking about submitting an abstract for the Fall Conference already.
The MGWA momentum is building at an accelerated pace right now. We’re welcoming brand new members (if you’re one of them, welcome!) and Board members, alike. This positive trajectory is positioning MGWA to give more than ever back to the membership through events, education, and leadership opportunities. We continue to nurture this new era by welcoming new ideas and being doers, acting with foresight and growth mindsets. We believe we are positioning MGWA to be the affiliation of-choice for academic, public and private sector groundwater professionals now and into the future.
We continue to welcome energy and engagement within the new structure and functions of the organization and hope you’ll consider jumping in to join the crew. The MGWA team is very excited about pursuing and fulfilling the Executive Director role and announcing election logistics soon. The second half of 2025 is poised to be the launch pad for several new initiatives and events to put on your calendar and join in to be a part of something special.
