Join the MN Ground Water Association (MGWA) and the American Institute of Professional Geologists MN (AIPG MN) for a Tour and Student Social event on the University of Minnesota Campus.
We will gather outside on the lawn side (west) of Tate Hall at 3:15pm on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota campus and take a ~15-minute walk across the Washington Avenue Bridge to a field site on the West Bank. Along the way, we will view exposures of the Platteville Formation and discuss the local hydrogeologic setting.
At the field site, we will tour the U of MN integrated research and teaching facilities and highlight ongoing groundwater and fractured-aquifer research.
Informal pizza dinner and networking social for professionals and students hosted by MGWA and AIPG MN after the tour.
